MEDIA RELEASE: Stompin Gets a Panoramic Audience View with What’s On In App
7 April 2016
For Immediate Release
Innovative youth dance company Stompin has partnered with Tasmanian tech start-up What’s On In App to make ticketing and event participation available to a much larger audience.
The What’s On In App is unique in its capacity to promote Tasmanian events while allowing users to check in, buy tickets, connect with friends at the event, and post updates to social media all from a single point of entry through the app.
Founder and CEO Darren Alexander said that he was delighted to be able to support Tasmanian arts and get experiences like Panorama out to a wider audience.
“We definitely designed the app for commercial clients to build participation in their events and more importantly be able to provide complex and accurate audience data to assist businesses to target their advertising dollar.
“Of course the opportunity is as valuable for not for profits and social enterprises which use events to build audiences and raise funds. When arts funding is so scarce, to be able to understand where your audience is coming from and what they are responding to and target your marketing spend to that niche – that is priceless,” said Mr Alexander
Artistic Director of Stompin, Emma Porteus is excited to be able to promote the show through innovative new technology.
“What’s On In App is perfect for our demographic, all of whom are social media savvy and used to getting information on the go on mobile devices. To be able to hear about the show, click on an app, buy tickets and tell your friends, that’s exactly what today’s audience wants.
Panoramic is a dynamic exploration of some often contested themes in Tasmania about the environment, loss, industry, wilderness, and community through the memory of those who built our history and through the voices that will create our future. The show is on at Spring Bay Mill on 8,9,10 April. Go to www.whatsonin.com.au/home#download to download the app and buy tickets.
Stompin' has provided 2 FREE TICKETS to the 1pm show on Friday to be drawn from new registrations on the app.
