What's On This Weekend in Tassie Season 2 Episode 5
We've called in favours, called in the cavalry, and called in Ol' Freckles to bring you the next episode of What's On This Weekend!
The festival / competition for innovators, creative minds and problem solvers with big ideas run by students and staff from the University of Tasmania. The competitions are open to students and the public and will be run simultaneously in Hobart Launceston and Burnie!
The Duchesses are The Duke's new house band, lined up to play every Friday night! Their swinging, swaying sound will get you dancing all evening. The band specialises in Blues, Funk and Jazz.
Local celebrity The Launceston Night Market is making a special guest appearance in Civic Square on the 14th of July! The newly refurbished area will be celebrated with live music, a bonfire and heaps of great stalls, and entry is free!
The Hawks are playing the Lions at UTAS Stadium this weekend! Odds are favouring the Hawks who are sitting in 10th place on the ladder over the Lions who are currently in 17th place. With the Hawks seemingly a stronger team this season and playing at their home stadium, we pick them for the win this round.
Festival of Voices is coming to a close, and this is the festival's finale concert! The concert will feature the International Program Choir of over 200 voices, two Australian Youth Choirs, Tony Backhouse and The Cafe of the Gate of Salvation and many more guest artists!
