Join for an amazing Aboriginal Cultural Experience in Merimbula, to celebrate the whale season and learn about Yuin country and culture.

This event will be held at Short Point Headland, featuring the Djaadjawan Dancers.

The program will include a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, a Dance Performance, and a local speaker to highlight the rich cultural history of this place and the ancient and special cultural connections the Yuin people have to whales.

This is a COVID Safe event. You must check-in, wear a mask, remain seated at all times, and observe physical distancing. Please bring a chair or a blanket to sit on as you enjoy the celebration.

This event is free but registration is essential. Tickets will be available to book from Saturday 14th August 2021.

This event is part of the Sapphire Coast Whale Trail 2021, celebrating the whale migration season with more than three months of whale events, experiences and activities from August - November. There's so much to do, with Aboriginal Cultural Experiences, self-drive tours, whale watching charters, walks, foodie experiences and more!
